ACI FMA Chairman

Stéphane Malrait is ACI FMA Chairman since June 2021 and ACI FMA Working Groups and Committees Representative at the Management Board since November 2020. Stéphane has been effectively engaged with ACI FMA for more than 15 years, contributing to different projects. Since the creation of the ACI FMA FXC in 2010, Stephane has chaired this Committee, and he is a member of the ACI FMA Crypto Working Group. Stéphane has also been a member of the ECB FX Contact Group working on the FX Global Code and has co-chaired the GFXC Algo and TCA sub-group looking at the 3-years review of the Code.
In addition, Stéphane Malrait has a strong background in financial markets. After fulfilling different leading positions such as FX e-Commerce Business Manager and MD Global Head of FIC e-Commerce in major banks, Stéphane is currently Managing Director and Global Head of market structure and innovation for Financial Markets at ING Bank NV.
Stéphane works with advocacy groups, policymakers, and regulators to follow the market structure and industry challenges impacting the financial market industry. He is also leading innovation activities in the capital market space within ING and develops external partnerships with Fintech companies. Stéphane actively contributes to industry working groups to represent ING Bank NV.

Ileana Pietraru
Ileana Pietraru

ACI France AFTB President

Ileana has been Global Head of Short-Term Treasury for Société Générale since 2014.
Prior to this position, she held various positions in Treasury and Investment Banking in Paris and London with SG and HSBC France, since the beginning of her career in 1992.
She developed extensive knowledge on liquidity management and money-markets in various geographies including emerging countries.
Ileana is Chairman of ACI France AFTB since November 2022.

Franck Hebeisen

ACI France AFTB Managing Director

Franck HEBEISEN is Managing Director of ACI France AFTB and Treasurer of ACI FMA the leading international association of market professional in foreign exchange and money markets.
He is a founding member of the STEP market Committee (2006) and qualified member of the « CNO - Comité de Normalisation Obligataire » and member of the European Monney Market Experts Committee.
Until July 2012 he was running the Short Term Paper Trading and Origination team of Société Générale in Paris. In this position, he built over more than 15 years a significant experience on Short Term Papers markets organisation and distribution and ran various working groups and initiatives relating to harmonisation and money market development at French and European level.

Rui Correia
Rui Correia

ACI FMA Chief Executive Officer

Rui Correia is currently Chief Executive Officer for ACI FMA, having the global responsibility to manage the Association from January 2025 onwards.
He is also Chair of the Board of Education for ACI FMA since August 2018.
Rui spent the first 25 years of his career working in dealing rooms, having had roles in trading, structuring and sales in internationally recognised financial institutions, in London, Madrid and Lisbon. From 2014 onwards, Rui became a Certified Trainer in financial markets, working primarily on the delivery of MiFID II related training to several market participants in Iberia.
With a Master in Finance, Rui believes that education is absolutely key for the development of all professionals working in the industry, both to develop their skills and knowledge on the markets and its products, but also to enhance the good practices which are essential for the sound functioning of financial markets.

Christian Floch
Christian Floch

ACI France AFTB Treasurer

Market finance professional with more than 30 years in BNP Paribas Corporate & Institutional Banking as Head of money market sales, origination and trading of commercial paper and in house short term paper funding. This allowed him to develop expertise in optimizing cash flow and ensuring the fluidity of market operation.
In addition to his managing director role in his institution he has been a devoted member of ACI France and instrumental on projects such as STEP and reforming the NEUCP market in France. Christian has been treasurer of ACI France since 2008 and has been holding similar positions in non-profit organizations involved in sports and education.

Patricia Casal
Patricia Casal

Iglesias, ACI FMA Senior Head Office Manager

Patricia Casal, a native of Spain and France, is the Head Office Manager at ACI FMA. With a strong foundation in French studies from the Official School of Languages in Galicia, Patricia moved to London, where she spent four years gaining valuable experience as a Front Office Manager in the hotel industry.
Her tenure in London and Paris allowed her to develop a comprehensive expertise in hotel management, which she later expanded by transitioning to administrative roles across various companies. This diverse experience eventually led her to the banking sector, where she first became acquainted with the ACI FMA.
Drawn by the association’s rich history, spirit, ethical values, and mission, Patricia joined as an Administrative Assistant. Her dedication and competence quickly led her to higher responsibilities, culminating in her role as ACI FMA Head Office Manager and, as of April 2024, ACI FMA Senior Head Office Manager.
With over 15 years of involvement in the association, Patricia brings a wealth of experience and unwavering commitment to managing the Head Office, supporting the Management Board, the President, and the Councillors.

Thierry JAVOIS
Thierry JAVOIS

Board member and permanent advisor of ACI France AFTB

Thierry is a finance professional with over 35 years' experience in Capital Markets and Corporate Finance within banks.
Over the course of his career, he has covered a variety of markets and products, but mainly products close to his core business of managing bank treasury via the various refinancing channels.
Similarly, the management of short-term liquidity ratios has given him legitimacy in the field of cash management, as he knows how to identify the priority issues in this area.
Setting up bond programmes such as EMTNs and covered bonds via tier 2 financing has enabled Thierry to acquire solid expertise in the field of long-term refinancing.
Since 2022, he has acquired expertise in the field of Corporate Finance, advising companies on raising debt capital (mainly in the form of private placements). During the same period, he also studied a number of fundraisings for closed-end funds, which enabled him to gain a thorough understanding of their constraints and expectations (private equity, private debt, etc.).
He has demonstrated his ability to manage various teams of different sizes, as well as being able to create and launch activities from scratch when necessary.
He is able to analyse all risks and carry out in-depth and detailed strategic analysis within most financial organisations.
